The High Street Worship Team 2011

Welcome to the High Street Worship Team home page. We firmly believe that worship is a "life style" not just a Sunday thing!!
Hopefully you will find this a useful area, not just to find out about what we do and who is involved in the team but you will also find
useful articles on worship, music, reviews, resources and PA bits n bobs.

Here is a little introduction to the current group of people who make up the worship team at High Street....

	Mark.....together with his wife Melody head up the worship team at High Street...they have 4 children. Passionate to see God working in and through all ages... thinks it's amazing what you can do knowing 4 chords :)
	Wendy Evens.....Wendy has been part of the worship group at High Street for quite some time....leads passionately....loves God.....and loves chocolate!
	Tom Cross.....Tom has been part of the worship team for the past 3 years, initially as a drummer (a very good one at that)...a young man with a real heart for worship...Tom is currently studying at Soul Survivor Watford..
	Melody Bell....not only is her name tuneful Mel can certainly play...incredibly gifted, whether playing weddings or worship...Mel also loves to sing and is a closet chorister...:)
Together with the leadership team at High Street we aim to encourage and help provide space  where we can come into Gods presence with thanksgiving, bringing Him the praise and adoration that is due His name, and by Gods grace experience all that He has planned for us....
	SammyD....lead guitarist with Empire Nation.....Sam adds that certain special ingredient to the worship sound....usually a whale type sound..:)   http://www.empirenation.net/
	Tom Claringbold....Plays a sweet bass...enjoys the techi stuff and drives an Nissan micro that has had a few modifications made!
	Susan.....joined the worship team in 2009....all of a sudden there were flutists coming out from all over the place..when not playing the flute she can often be heard bashing out some great vocal harmonies....
	Tom Cockerton....what can I say...he plays the drums....loud!!! but we love him..married to Rosie....one of our closet flutists..
	Lesley Faulkner and Tim Clark....add more splashes of harmony...or that’s what we like to call them....Tim actually can hit some seriously high notes, probably because he is quite tall!....they are both faithful servents on the team at high Street ...
	Martin....married to Katherine..Martin plays the bass and like most bass players only smiles when it's absolutely necessary...is pretty handy with a lathe...:)
	Graham Strand.....now the old man of the drumming contingent.....he’s not bad with a welding torch and makes a great chocolate desert!
	Steve and Graham....Head up the audio visual and PA team......Steve is certainly never happier than faced with a PA to set up at a moments notice!.. seriously don’t know what we would do with out them!

There are a few other team members, James T on bass has recently joined the navy but we are blessed when he returns and joins with us, several youngsters from our youth groups are now playing with us....Josh Billitt plays the trumpet, TommyD is just starting in the team on drums, George Claringbold acoustic guitar, Rosie Cockerton on flute,  We have a team of people who serve on the technical audio visual side running video camera's and DVD's, operating SongPro, recording and duplicating.....if you would like to know more or be involved please come and speak to Steve, Graham or me....
